Ramon Novarro was the first successful Latin-American film star, transitioning from silent-films to talkies in the 20s and 30s. He was also a closeted-gay man who struggled with shame and alcoholism. In 1968, he was beaten to death by two brothers, Paul and Thomas Ferguson, for a mere $45.

Patricia Ferche was a 17 year old Chicago girl who was abducted in December of 1972 by a man who was impersonating a police officer. By the end of the day, her abductor, Theodore Jagiello, was dead and Patricia was mostly unharmed.
